MPR publication is a new form of publication, which, by means of connecting the audio/video files with the paper-printed pictures and texts via MPR codes, meets the reader¡¯s need of hearing the contents by ears while watching them by eyes. An MPR publication is composed by the ordinary paper-printed publication and audio/video files.
In order to provide quick and convenient services towards MPR publishers, and manage the MPR codes used in MPR publications, publishers home and abroad who is willing to manufacture MPR publication, have to enroll as a registered MPR publisher first.
After finishing the MPR Publisher Registration Form, please print and fax it to CMPR, who will check the information and accept the registration. Later on, CMPR will mail a set of user name and password to the publisher, who thereafter formally becomes a registered MPR publisher.
The rights and obligations of a registered MPR publisher are as following:
1. Getting information of all MPR books all over the world from CMPR and its website at any time.
2. Being offered the chance that MPR books being published are sold in MPR books' selling shoppe, which covers the Xinhua Bookstore and other book markets in China.
3. Getting MPR book code (Pre-code) free of charge.
4. Uploading audio/video files of MPR books to the website of MPR Reading Club free of charge.
5. Using the software to publish MPR books free of charge.
6. Attending the business training given by CMPR, carrying out the business flow mentioned in the Handbook for MPR Publishing Practice.
7. Establishing a book issuing relationship with the MPR book seller, selling books by yourselves.
The audio/video files of a published MPR book is an element of the book, an obligated service for book readers provided by MPR publishers and MPR Reading Club. In the interest of readers, any audio/video files uploaded onto MPR Reading Club are not allowed to be deleted; only modifying and changing made by MPR publishers are permitted. No one is allowed to make the MPR audio/video files in non-MPR books or electronic products. CMPR will charge for such kind of behaviors economically and legally. As to the intellectual property rights of the original MPR audio/video files, MPR publishers should confirm with the certain party, do promise the MPR audio/video files provided to CMPR are legal and effective.
